Elementary School Dress Code
K-3 AND K-4:
No uniform is required. However, students should wear sneakers or shoes that are completely enclosed.
DRESS AND APPEARANCE STANDARDS FOR K5-4TH GRADE:
All students in grades K5-8th are required to wear the school uniform and to have a neat, clean appearance (i.e., shirts tucked in, belts on and in loops, etc.)
SHIRTS:
Boys and girls must wear school color (navy, hunter green, burgundy or white, as well as light pink or light blue for girls) knit polo style shirts with a collar. The Redeemer Christian School logo is required. Girls may wear white blouses under jumpers. Winter: Long sleeve knit shirts with collars, sweatshirts, or turtlenecks (logo optional) are permitted. All shirts must be navy, hunter green, burgundy, or white. Hooded Lion Wear sweatshirts are also allowed.
PANTS/SKIRTS/SKORTS/SHORTS:
All students must wear khaki or navy school uniform bottoms. Walking shorts should be loose fitting and bermuda length (no shorter than fingertip length). Pants and capris should be of the traditional uniform style with no sewn on pockets. They can be plain or pleated in the front with slight pockets in the back. No pants with cargo type pockets or five-pocket jean style are allowed. No baggies or low hip rider pants are allowed. Girls may wear walking shorts, pants, capris, skirts, skorts/culottes, and jumpers in solid colors of khaki or navy, as well as green or burgundy plaid skorts.
BELTS:
Students must wear belts that are navy, brown, black, or khaki. A belt must be worn with pants, capris, skirts, skorts or shorts with belt loops.
SHOES AND SOCKS:
Students should wear socks that are white only. Shoes must be dress or sneakers. No sandals are allowed. All shoes must be completely enclosed.
HAIR:
All hair should be of natural color, well groomed, and of appropriate style and length.
Upper School Dress Code
DRESS CODE FOR 5TH-8TH GRADE:
Our goal is for students to have the freedom to express individuality while doing so in an appropriate and professional manner. Appropriate is defined as “set apart for a specific reason.” Professional is defined as “skilled practitioner, an expert.”
GIRLS:
Tops: Girls may select any school color (navy, hunter green, burgundy, white, light pink or light blue) traditional polo (collared) style shirt or white button-up shirt. All shirts must have the Redeemer Christian School logo on them. The shirts may be short sleeve or long sleeve. Girls are required to tuck their shirts in and a belt should be worn if belt loops are provided. Our desire is for students to look professional during their school day.
Bottom Clothing: Girls will be required to wear navy or khaki uniform style skirt, skort, shorts, capris, or pants. No athletic (nylon or jersey knit) or cargo style shorts or pants are allowed. Girls must use the following protocol when selecting. Shorts, skirts and skorts should be no more than two inches above the knee.
BOYS:
Tops: Boys may select any school color (navy, hunter green, burgundy or white) traditional polo (collared) style shirt or white button-up shirt. All shirts must have the Redeemer Christian School logo on them. The shirts may be short or long sleeved. Boys are required to tuck their shirts in and a belt should be worn if belt loops are provided. Our desire is for students to look professional during their school day.
Bottom Clothing: Boys will be required to wear navy or khaki uniform style bottoms. No athletic or cargo style shorts or pants are allowed. Bottom clothing should fit appropriately and not appear “slouchy”. No undergarments should be visible at any time.
WINTER CLOTHING
Students may select from a sweatshirt, cardigan, jacket or long-sleeve shirt that has the Redeemer Christian School logo on it or is plain with no writing at all. Hooded Lion Wear sweatshirts are allowed.
BELTS: All students may select a brown or black belt that fits appropriately. Girls may wear plaid belts which match the plaid skirts and jumpers available through Lands End.
SOCKS: Students may wear white, blue or black socks, again, that is appropriate and professional.
SHOES: Girls may select dressy sandals, as well as closed toe shoes. Sandals may or may not have the back strap. Shoes must be appropriate and professional. Boys may select any style closed toe shoe that is appropriate and professional. No flip-flops or crocs allowed.
P.E. DRESS CODE
Students will be required to dress out for P.E. in the RCS P.E. uniform. Students must also have athletic shoes for P.E. Girls and boys may order any item in the Lands End school Uniform catalog which has been selected to receive the Redeemer Christian School logo, and the girls may order the burgundy/gray plaid or classic navy/green plaid skirt and jumper selections. We strongly encourage our parents to make their purchases from the Lands End catalog because all items which are able to be logoed are approved items. There is no doubt as to whether an item is or is not within dress code when you order through Lands End.
Lands End School Uniform Catalog
Girls and boys may order any item in the Lands End school Uniform catalog which has been selected to receive the Redeemer Christian School logo, and the girls may order the burgundy/gray plaid or classic navy/green plaid skirt and jumper selections. There is no doubt as to whether an item is or is not within dress code when you order through Lands End.

Pasteurs Sports, and Lands’ End. Lands’ End offers the largest selection for middle school students. Material Things in Belleview and Bee Personal in Ocala will logo plain uniform shirts for an extra fee.
