Upper School Curriculum

Redeemer Christian's middle school offers small class sizes with an atmosphere of high expectations, mutual respect and committed teachers. Our curriculum is a composite curriculum which meets National and State standards. The middle school academic program consists of language arts with a strong emphasis on reading, grammar, writing, and spelling/vocabulary; math; social studies; and science. All middle school students participate in PE each day. Our middle school students are also enrolled in a different quarter class each nine weeks such as computer, music, and art. Each year our students are evaluated through testing utilizing the Stanford 10 and Otis-Lennon standardized tests.

In homeroom each day middle school students are nurtured spiritually through prayer time. They also attend weekly chapel services. Middle school students are encouraged to take part in community service. Some of our students mentor to younger children at the Skill Day Center once a month. Our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students attend a retreat to Camp Kulaqua.

Middle school students are encouraged to take part in several different extracurricular activities such as sports, the FAFO art show and Science Fairs. The year is ended with a graduation for eighth grade students as they move on to a new adventure in transforming our culture for Christ.
