Arts
Upon graduation RCS students will be individuals who engage in creative expression, understanding that God is glorified as His image-bearers express truth artistically. Since art articulates the grand themes and beauties of God's universe through various forms, graduates will appreciate historical contributions while having developed their own interests and talents. In all artistic endeavors graduates will be guided by Paul's admonition, "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." Phillipians 4:8
Graduates will demonstrate:
- skills of expression in various forms of music, drama, literature and art.
- a passion to create in order to glorify the Creator in whose image they were made.
- an appreciation for significant artistic contributions through history.
- an understanding of the potential of creative expression as a form of communicating the truths of God, particularly the glories of redemption.
- an enjoyment and freedom in artistic expression.
