My husband, Ken, and I have been married for 42 years and we have 2 children, 8 grandchildren, and a Yorkie named Alfie. We enjoy traveling, looking through old bookstores, reading, museums, and being with family and friends. We have a motorhome and have enjoyed traveling across our beautiful country during summer vacations.
I was the daughter of a minister, but did not give my heart to the Lord until I was 22 years old. I was immediately excited about studying the Bible and was a student and then leader of BSF for many years while living in St. Petersburg. I have also taught Sunday School for children and adults for many years.
After working in the medical field for seventeen years, the Lord lead me into a teaching career. I received a BA Degree in Elementary Education from St. Leo University in 2000. This is my ninth year of teaching at Redeemer and I love my job! I also serve as the Safety Patrol sponsor at the school.
Because my own fifth grade was such a wonderful year, I strive to make fifth a great experience for my students also. Even though the work is sometimes challenging for my students, there is no reason for it not to be exciting and enjoyable. Learning can be fun!
