Dear Precious Parents,

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I truly feel deeply thankful to our Lord for this very sweet and precious class. I am thankful you have entrusted them to me. They have done so much growing already, emotionally, academically, and by accepting more responsibility in the classroom for their learning. They are stepping up to the plate, as I have set the bar high and they are stretching themselves. I am proud of them. They have also done a tremendous job welcoming Melainie to the classroom.

We celebrated Alyssa and Natalie this week and had such a fun time learning about twins! Mom, dad, big sis, and little bro all came as we enjoyed getting to know them and seeing baby pictures, as well as Alyssa’s humongous stuffed pig collection. We will celebrate Rachel this Monday, as she got sick last Friday and we will also celebrate Jackson on Friday.

You may still send in vegetables and flowers for our garden. It is coming slow but sure. I may need someone to come over during the Thanksgiving break and run the sprinkler once or twice.

We are starting a unit on writing a persuasive essay today and have begun to learn the 7 times table. Please work with your child at home on the multiplication tables. It will greatly benefit him/her. We will continue in our pursuit of King Saul in Bible, and will have a Challenge on Friday on Norse Mythology, The Vikings, and Canada. Study notes are in their Pony Express. Please study with your child each night for them to gain the highest retention of this material. The “Thanksgiving Day” poem is due by Friday; most of the class has already recited it. The Science grade on the Interim will be the final grade for the nine weeks, as we will have no more Science until January. The Mystery Book Report is due Monday, December 1st. Please make sure your child follows the format sheet exactly.

I will not be in the classroom on Friday as I will be out of town. I hope all of you have a truly blessed Thanksgiving and take time to thank our amazing God for the great abundance we all truly have.

Have a blessed holiday enjoying our Savior.
