Description:
Keyboarding – Students will progress through lessons to teach them appropriate keying posture, adjusting your workstation, maintaining a correct keying position, and learning all the keys on the keyboard to prepare them to use computer applications more efficiently.
Goals: To learn and utilize:
Basic Skills of keying correctly
Alphabet and punctuation keys
Number keys
Symbol keys
Numeric Keypad

Requirements:
You are required to participate fully in the classroom and turn in all of your work in the allotted time. No late work will be accepted without an excused absence. Quizzes/tests will be given at the end of each unit. You will be assessed on speed and accuracy.
Resources:
RCS Technology lab – I cannot send a computer home with you to do your make-up work. Therefore, if you have an excused absence then you will have to make up your work in the computer lab. I will make myself available on Wednesday after school until 4:00 pm for make up work. Your school work comes before after school activities. This work needs to be made up the day you return to school or during the same week. I will not remind you to make-up your work. You will receive a “0” for any work that is not made up.
Evaluation:
Your grade will be based on the following:
Class work – 40%
Participation – 20%
Quizzes/Test – 40%
