8th Grade Philanthropy Class
Redeemer Christian School 8th grade history students are privileged to welcome volunteer non-profit leaders into their classroom on Mondays for the rest of the school year (except SAT testing week). Youth Philanthropy in Action (YPIA), is a six week education curriculum that covers five objectives focusing on civic responsibility. YPIA is an initiative of the Non Profit Business Council of the Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce.
By the end of the program, students will have determined what they value, and how they can use that to make their local or even the global community a better place. Along with their personal mission statements, the class as a whole will work together to learn how to truly put their philanthropy into action as responsible citizens. The program piloted at Blessed Trinity early this year, so Redeemer is only the second school in the county to receive this teaching. The long-term goal of the Non Profit Business Council is to present this program to all 8th grade students district wide, so we are blessed to offer it for our students now.

Open House 3/28
Dear Redeemer Family,
I am pleased to announce Redeemer will be holding an open house on Wednesday, March 28th at 6 o’clock pm. This open house will be a chance for potential new families to come witness how Redeemer offers Christ In All Things.
One way you might help contribute to our open house would be to tell your friends and family members who do not attend Redeemer to come enjoy an evening of seeing what Redeemer has to offer for their children.
We are very excited to host this event and hope you will spread the word about how Redeemer has influenced the spiritual formation of your child’s life.
