Academics

Learning with Purpose
At Redeemer Christian School, education is a calling- one that shapes not just what a student knows, but who they become. Our academic program is built on a foundation of biblical truth, intellectual challenge, and a commitment to preparing students for a life of purpose. Whether in kindergarten phonics or high school calculus, our students are invited to think deeply, communicate clearly, and approach learning with both curiosity and conviction.
We offer a full K–12 program designed to challenge students academically while nurturing their growth in wisdom, character, and faith. Small class sizes allow our teachers to truly know each student- their strengths, their struggles, and their God-given potential. Our educators are passionate, highly qualified, and committed to revealing God’s glory through every subject and stage.
At Redeemer, we don’t teach just for the test- we aim to shape strong thinkers, compassionate leaders, and faithful men and women who will make an impact long after graduation. Students are equipped with the tools they need to excel in college and career, but more importantly, they are grounded in truth and shaped by grace. Because we believe academic excellence means more when it’s guided by purpose and anchored in Christ.

EARLY CHILDHOOD (K3–K5)
In our Early Childhood program, students are introduced to school through a nurturing, Christ-centered environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and joy. Teachers guide students through foundational academic subjects like phonics, math, science, reading, and Bible, using hands-on learning, song, and movement to create a rich, multi-sensory experience. As students grow in knowledge, they also learn the rhythms of school life—how to listen well, stay organized, work together, and express themselves with confidence.
Phonics is taught using the Wordy Worm curriculum, and math instruction incorporates manipulatives and real-world applications. Each day begins with worship through song and movement and includes time for free play and exploration on the preschool playground. In all things, students are gently pointed toward the truth of Scripture and their need for Christ. Loving, qualified teachers partner closely with families to ensure students grow spiritually, socially, and academically.
Elementary School (1st-6th)
In the elementary years, students are challenged to build on foundational skills and grow into confident learners who see every subject through the lens of Scripture. Our teachers implement research-based best practices and choose curriculum intentionally- ensuring strong scope and sequence, developmental alignment, and biblical integration.
Students study core subjects including math, reading, writing, Bible, science, and social studies, using trusted resources such as Eureka Math, Logic of English, McGraw-Hill Science, and Storyworks literature. Learning happens through both whole-group and small-group instruction, with individualized support through guided reading and student conferencing. Students are assessed using nationally normed benchmarks (NWEA MAP) and reading comprehension assessments to track growth.
Beyond the classroom, students participate in daily physical education and attend weekly classes in music, art, computer, library, and Spanish. Weekly chapel services and opportunities for student-led service- such as Book Buddies and Puzzle Pals- encourage students to apply what they’re learning in real, relational ways.
Junior High School
Our Junior High program is designed to guide students through a crucial stage of growth—academically, spiritually, and socially. Teachers create a learning environment rich in classic texts, biblical integration, and meaningful inquiry across all disciplines. Students read deeply, think critically, and engage with big questions through literature, history, and Scripture. Science instruction follows an inquiry-based model where students explore God’s design through life and physical sciences, while math builds strong problem-solving skills that prepare students for high school coursework.
In every subject, students are encouraged to develop independence, responsibility, and resilience. They participate daily in physical education and have access to creative electives like art, concert band, and computer technology. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, or within peer relationships, junior high students are being shaped into young men and women who are ready to lead with both conviction and grace.
High School
At RCS high school, we believe these final years of a student’s K–12 journey are foundational in shaping a biblical worldview, academic readiness, and a life of meaningful impact. Through challenging courses in literature, science, mathematics, the arts, theology, and the humanities, students are equipped to think deeply, communicate clearly, and serve faithfully. Classic texts like Othello and The Inferno are studied alongside in-depth explorations of Scripture, scientific inquiry, and historical analysis—all through a Christ-centered lens.
Curriculum is selected through careful review by teachers and administration, aligned with best practices and our student outcomes. Students experience intentional mentorship, spiritual formation, and academic rigor designed to prepare them for college, career, and their life calling.
Our desire is to grow the hearts and minds of our graduates to love truth, value beauty, seek goodness, and serve others with Christ’s love.
