COPPA -Teaching Resources

Redeemer Christian School utilizes several computer software applications and web-based services, operated not by this school, but by third parties. These include Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office 365 for Education, Lifesize (for streaming of courses and activities) and similar educational software and web-based services.

In order for students to use these programs and services, sometimes certain personally identifying information, generally consisting of the student's name and email address, must be provided to the website operator. Under a federal law entitled Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA), these websites are required to post a privacy policy describing their practices. COPPA permits schools to consent to the collection of this information on behalf of all its students, thereby eliminating the need for individual parental consent given directly to each individual website operator.

Redeemer Christian School provides the following list for parents of our online resources used by our teachers for in-person and Distance Learning. Our Elementary and Upper School resources are divided by headings, so parents can visit individual websites and research their privacy policies.
